I am relocating from India to The USA. My daughter is in IB school and will be joining high school once we relocate.
My question is if it is okay for her to take a gap after 10th grade before joining high school in 11th grade? Do schools accept a gap year before joining high school?
Taking a gap year during high school (as opposed to after graduating high school) is highly unusual. I do not have any real insight into this topic. I could not find any good online resources specifically on this, and the one time this question was posed on Quora, it received multiple discouraging responses. The consensus seemed to be that unless there was a very specific reason for doing this, it would be inadvisable.
