Did the new SAT eliminate point deduction for wrong answers?

I’ve heard that the scoring has changed for the new SAT in regards to wrong answers. From what I understand, getting something wrong doesn't take off points anymore.

Is this true, and will this make it easier to get a higher score?

Yep, on the new SAT, there are no penalties for guessing. The number of correct answers you get is your raw score. There are no deductions for mistakes, so answer every question even if you have to guess! This is of course great news!
