I wanted to get my son started with preparing for the SAT..........maybe just a one week start so he can get motivated and then do it on his own .

Any recommendations for this ?

I would recommend having your son take a look at the four tips outlined in this article. Determining the target SAT score he'll be aiming for can be a great motivator. Otherwise, the best motivational tool I know for SAT studying is the PrepScholar SAT program.
