Should you send ACT scores to your high school?

I just took the ACT, and I don't know if I should have my ACT scores sent to my high school. I would appreciate anyone sharing the benefits of sending or not sending these scores. Also, if your high school sends your score reports to colleges, is it cheaper than sending them yourself?

The ACT will send a score report to your high school automatically. In reporting your scores to colleges, there is no difference between you sending them and your high school sending them. Either way, you will need to pay for additional score reports beyond the four free reports you get with registration (many people don't use these free reports because you have to choose to send them before you know your scores).

However, you may be eligible for a fee waiver that covers four score reports in addition to the free reports that everyone gets. Check out this article for more details on how fee waivers work.
