Will Colleges Combine My Highest Reading and Math Score?

On my first SAT, I scored a 700 reading and 500 math. On my second SAT, I scored a 500 reading and 700 math.

Will colleges consider my highest score a 1200 or a 1400? In other words, will colleges combine my highest reading and math score, even if they are on different SATs?

It depends on the school. Many colleges do superscore, or take your highest scores from multiple testings on, the SAT, which means that they would consider your highest score to be a 1400. We have more information about which colleges superscore the SAT in this article.
